"More than just an accomplished musician, Seth relates himself with the art of music to bring out the finer qualities and sounds." Tanya Ogsbury of OME Banjo in Boulder, Colorado.
Seth says "A friend told me about OME and I had the chance to play their banjos quite a bit throughout 2005. I don't know a lot about what goes into the banjos, but I know what I like to hear, and this is it. The people with OME have always been so nice to me, I know I'm just a kid, but they respect me and I really like that.
OME banjos were started as ODE banjos which were produced by Charles Ogsbury. After a few years of producing ODE banjos, Charles sold the company to Baldwin (pianos) and the banjos then became Baldwin ODE. Several years passed when Charles was kind-of retired from the banjo business and he wanted to do it again. When he decided to get back into the business, he couldn't use the name ODE because he had nothing to do with it. So, he changed the "D" to an "M" which became OME. The OME business was in full force when the movie "Deliverance" came out. After some ups and downs, Charles is still building banjos. He is "first and foremost a designer and builder" which he loves to produce quality instruments.
Charles Ogsbury and his family have worked hard on building this wonderful business and I thank them for asking me to be a part of it. Tanya (Charles' daughter) knew that I tried really hard to win an OME banjo at Winfield, Kansas this past September. Tanya said that she would trade the banjo for the one that I liked if I placed First, Second, or Third, but I got Fourth. I was really happy with Fourth, but I knew that I wouldn't get the banjo. The banjo that I am sponsored with is an OME Green Primrose Megaton 200. I am really happy that I got sponsored and again, Thanks to OME Banjos for sponsoring me."
